A
Natural Grower practicing Sustainable Agriculture:
We are ‘sunlight harvesters’ - our primary
production (herbs, flowers, greens), is based on the
conversion of sunlight energy into food. As gardeners
we learned that ‘soil was everything’,
and as market farmers, we know that the most important
element in harvesting this sunlight is ensuring that
our soils are cared for and built up in a long-term
sustainable manner. The first principle is ‘feed
the soil and let the soil feed the plant’.
We are a family-owned farm where everything
is raised in full accord to nature, in an environmentally
friendly way. We do not use chemical pesticides or
herbicides of any kind, and use only certified organic
fertilizer or composted manure. Our chickens are raised
without antibiotics, hormones or inoculants of any
kind, and fed only grass and certified organic grain.

A
Garden to Explore:
We invite you to wander our show gardens. Fill your
senses with the fragrance, taste, texture & display
of our wide range of herbs, flowers, veggies &
greens. Sample the raspberry patch, smile at “the
flower bed”, stroll the vine-covered pergola,
and savour the ‘old-world’ rose &
lavender corner.
In spring we have a greenhouse chock
full of herb and edible flower plants, and herb plants
are available to buy all season.
*Some room to run and activities for
children (& child-like spouses!) are also nearby.
A Learning Experience:
We’ll help you with great
tips on how to grow, harvest, and cook with fresh
herbs and flowers. We’ll assist you with what
herb or flower would best complement whichever meal
or dish you’re preparing. We provide free ‘culinary
herb uses’ and edible flower info sheets with
every purchase. We also have great reference and idea
books in our store.
